DaliCircle ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DaliCircle mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Pet Information: Pet name, species, breed, date of birth, weight, and photos you add for your pet profiles.
- Health Records: Vaccination records, medication schedules, weight logs, and veterinary document uploads you choose to store.
- Care Routines: Daily routine schedules you configure for your pet (feeding times, walk times, etc.).
- Voice Input: If you use the AI Assistant voice feature, audio is temporarily recorded to convert your speech to text. Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
Information Collected Automatically
- App Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous in-app analytics events (e.g., features used, session duration) to improve the app experience. This data is not linked to your identity.
- Device Information: Basic device information (model, OS version) for crash reporting and compatibility.
Information We Access with Your Permission
- Contacts: With your explicit permission, we access your device contacts so the AI Assistant can help you call your veterinarian or pet-related contacts. Contact data is processed locally and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Camera/Photos: With your permission, we access your camera and photo library to let you take or select photos for your pet profiles.
- Google Drive (optional backup): If you turn on backup in Settings, we ask for permission to create and manage a single app-specific backup file in your Google Drive. We use Google's
drive.appdata scope, which only lets DaliCircle see files it created itself — it cannot see, modify, or browse any other file in your Drive. The backup contains the same pet data, health records, care routines, photos, and documents already described above, stored as a single archive. You can turn this off, delete the backup, or revoke DaliCircle's Drive access at any time from your Google Account settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the DaliCircle app and its features.
- To personalize your experience (e.g., pet-specific care reminders).
- To process AI-powered features (daily briefs, memory reels) through our backend service.
- To send you local care reminders and notifications you have configured.
Data Storage and Security
- All pet data, health records, and care routines are stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database.
- If you turn on the optional Google Drive backup, a copy of this data is also stored in a private, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive that only DaliCircle can access — it is not visible in your regular Drive file list and is not accessible to us or anyone else.
- AI-related data (briefs, reel content) is processed through our backend service and is not retained beyond the current session.
- We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
The app integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google Generative AI (Gemini): For AI-powered features. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI API: For AI-powered features. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Services: For in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Google Drive: If you enable backup, used to store an encrypted copy of your data in your own Google Drive account. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
DaliCircle does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the app.
- Delete all your data by using the "Clear Data" option in the app's Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
- Revoke permissions (camera, contacts, microphone) at any time through your device settings.
- Delete your Google Drive backup at any time from Settings → Backup in the app, or by revoking DaliCircle's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
